Textbooks

I went online today to see what books I was going to need for this semester, I got giddy when I saw this:

If you have never read StarGirl you must invest. This is a command! If you can't bear to spend $6.75 on a book you can check it out at the public library. Or email me your address and I will mail you a copy.

But you must read!

Locked Out!

I accidentally entered my password wrong 6 times this morning. Now I am at work an cannot log on to my database for 30 minutes. Why didn't I ever think of this before?
I really like this picture of me and my little sis, she is growing up so fast and I don't have many pictures with her. This was on Christmas, and I love it!

15 and counting

I'm sick! Yesterday I slept 15 hours straight. Today I am at work and hating it. I'm ready for 15 more.

Sew What!

I've been a busy girl over the holidays sewing many bags to sell on Etsy. My goal is to have the site up and running by Sunday (watch for it).
The bag making process has been going a lot quicker and smoother with my new Bernina I got for Christmas. Thanks mom!

Here she is in all her seaming glory:

Finals

I'm almost done with Finals and I am so incredibly ready for this semester to be over with. All in one semester I was insulted by a teacher, forced to agree with a teacher when I strongly disagree, required to put in 50 hours in a classroom on top of my full time job, and just recently told my final report would not be accepted because standardized testing is not a controversial topic in education.

Of coarse, "Everyone knows that standardized testing is great because it cost effective and gives an accurate depiction of what the students have learned." says my English professor.

Didn't you all know that???
My mistake, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've been admitted!

I recieved this letter yesterday from CSUN, congratulating me on being admitted to the credential program!
Hooray for me!

P.S. I also passed the first section of the CSET.

Increase and Decrease

Only two weeks ago I learned to knit, this has to be the most self sufficient sport I have ever encountered. Since then I have knitted while working, knitted in class, knitted while walking, and most recently knitted while off-roading (I, of coarse, was not driving). While sitting in the back seat of a Jeep crawling the lateral face of a mountain, I stumbled upon increasing the stitch...the problem is I'm not sure how I did this. Today I found a blog with a great demonstration of how this happened, Thanks Crazy Aunt Pearl.

Also today I thought of a great T-shirt idea. It may already be in production, and if so I want one.

Groove Thing!

Every so often, on my way to work, there is a man standing on the Hampshire off ramp of the 101S freeway playing his clarinet. He looks real jazzy like, and moves his body like he is cranking out some amazing tunes. This morning I decided in the chilly, foggy weather to roll down the window for a musical feat.
I hear nothing for a minute, just the sound of traffic and wind, then a few squeaks and squaws. when I looked over to see if he was taking a break...he was not, he was dancing and groovin' as usual.
I admire this man...I believe he has music in his heart.
I will try to capture a picture of him on day for all of you to see.
Maybe even a video.

Away from Home!

I cannot express how nice it was to be away from life for four days. I feel renewed, rejuvenated, and ready to crawl back in bed.

Lady Luna

Have you ever been taken aback by nature? Sitting their awestruck in the beauty of the world that surrounds you?
Today, this happened to me. As I was driving to work I found myself mesmerized by the most amazing moon I have seen in my so far existence. The sky was a beautiful curtain of purple, with thin strung out clouds that seemed to be saying "stretch, reach out, and relax." Then Lady Luna, an amazing display of the fullest, most plump, larger than life, breathtaking moon.

Breathe. Ahhhhhh. It's going to be a marvelous day.
